Because the grass is always greener in the New Year
With each New Year comes a highly anticipated new colour of the year declaration unveiled by Pantone. In 2017, everyone is looking to refresh and reinvigorate their spirit; so naturally, the new colour promised the same. A stimulating mixture of yellow-green called Greenery. The colour is associated with nature, which means by surrounding yourself with it, you're meant to feel one with nature and reinvent yourself.
“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose,” said Leatrice Wiseman the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
With 2016 being a tough year for the political and social world, the institute decided to base the colour on substantial issues, which has affected the world. Personally, the intention behind the colour makes it more attractive than usual. The refreshing colour allows one to bring the outdoors inside with a reconnection to mother nature.
Here are some of our favourite ways to use ‘Greenery’ in beauty, fashion and lifestyle.
